Dec 31 2015

Miha Kavcic is Danfoss’s new head of sales and business development in North America. Kavcic will be responsible for advancing the company’s business within the heating market, including energy-saving hydronic balancing and control, electric heating, and combined heat and power solutions.

Kavcic has spent more than 15 years with Danfoss, most recently as vice president responsible for Danfoss’ global hydronic balancing and control product business. He also has extensive product management experience in global markets.

In most countries, buildings account for 40% of total energy consumption, creating a significant opportunity to improve energy efficiency, and Danfoss is investing in innovative technologies to help control energy use and improve indoor comfort. This includes the NovoCon S digital actuator, which has been recognized as an honourable mention in the 2016 AHR Innovation Awards program, and enables intelligent control and communication between a hydronic balancing and control system and a building automation system.

Kavcic holds an MBA from IEDC-Bled School of Management and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

Danfoss is a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, industrial, and water systems.
