WHAT IS UTILITY ERGONOMICS?
Utility Ergonomics is the science of evaluating and designing products and work
environments around the strengths and limitations of the worker in order to maximize
occupational health, maximize ease of use of tools, and maintain or increase
productivity of the worker. The level of risk depends on the intensity, frequency, and
duration of the exposure to the conditions.
Greenlee is “fitting the tool to the worker, not fitting the worker to the tool.”
PREVENT INITIAL INJURIES AND REDUCE REPEAT INJURIES.
Greenlee’s ergonomic mission is to prevent workers initial injures by offering battery operated
tools that substantially reduce or eliminate risk factors of musculoskeletal
disorders compared to using a manual tool.
The goal is simple; to make utility work safer and more ergonomically efficient.
COMMON UTILITY ERGONOMIC INJURIES INCLUDE:
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Lower back pain
