Alberta Electrical Inspectors Solar Workshops

Solar Workshops

The Solar Energy Society of Alberta and Energy Efficiency Alberta, in partnership with the Electrical Inspectors Association of Alberta, will be conducting six workshops on the Canadian Electrical Code updates for solar photovoltaics.

These 7-hour workshops will provide electrical inspectors with the 2015 and 2018 Canadian Electrical Code updates for solar electricity, and will include inspectors checklists, which address the most crucial inspection points of the four typical solar photovoltaic system types. Participants will receive a certification of completion upon passing a one hour exam at the end of the workshop.

Priority seating will go to Group A Electrical Safety Codes Officers, and available space may be filled by members of the solar or electrical industry. Dates and locations are as follows:

• September 7 — Lethbridge
• September 8 — Calgary
• September 13 — Vermillion
• September 14 — Edmonton
• October 11 — Grande Prairie
• October 13 — Airdrie
